Tips for trips in the summer

The region offers exciting leisure facilities and offers. Please always inquire after the current opening hours – they may vary, depending on weather or season.

Always an adventure for example, is the climbing forest Grüntensee. It offers easy climbing elements not so high from the ground as well as daring jumps at a height of 15 meters and many other elements that make your pulse rise.

Courage is also required in Climbing park Bärenfalle in Bühl am Alpsee. In addition to that you will get the real kick on Germany’s longest summer toboggan run. Young and old will be thrilled about the great track into he Alpsee mountain world.

If you prefer the element water, you will definitely become a fan of the great rafting tour on the Iller with our partner, the „Pur Group“.

And what about a daytrip to Oberstdorf, to one of the biggest ski jumps in the world?

Or do you prefer to follow the trail of King Ludwig? Then you should visit the royal castles in Füssen.

The Breitachklamm (chasm) near Oberstdorf, ca. 25 km, an in central Europe unique natural monument, that attracts over 30.000 visitors each year. She is one of the most beautiful rock chasms in the Alps. A good alternative on a rainy day, because the more water rushes through the gorge, the more impressive it is.

Ore mines in the Grünten near Burgberg, ca. 17 km, a mountain experience of the other kind: in the museum village you learn about the history of farming. In addition to the geology of the Grünten and the Allgäu you get to know the life and work of the miners in the iron ore mine from the 14th to the 19th century.

In the indoor playground Allgäulino the kids can have fun and horse around on over 3.000 m². Climbing towers and mountains are waiting to be conquered and the almost 10 m high dragon castle offer everything that makes a child’s heart beat faster. For young formula 1 fans there are electric karts available as well. Allgäulino – playing fun for the entire family.
